Although we didn't play the most attractive football, we still managed to grind out a result which shows the lads are starting to gel as a team.

The second game of Sychdyns Pre Season came against one of the teams old rivals Y Glannau.

The game was a close fought contest with only 2 goals scored throughout the game. Luke Robinson gave CPD the lead early on in the first half with a brilliant right foot finish.

As the game progressed, there was a clear indication that the visiting team were not going to buckle under pressure and showed great character with a few good spells of their own.

The second half saw changes from both teams and a late penalty gave Tim Hughes his debut goal for Sychdyn in his second spell with the club.

Shaun Antrobus commented after the game "Although we didn't play the most attractive football, we still managed to grind out a result which shows the lads are starting to gel as a team."

Sychdyn will now play at home against Caerwys and finally away to Lex before they head into the start of the new season.
