A hat trick from Stephen Amadi helped Crawley's new manager Paul Blackman celebrate his first win as the Maroon's came from a goal down to beat fellow strugglers Baldock Town 2-4.

After a scrappy start it was the visitors who took the lead after only 7 minutes. Crawley's new keeper Ollie Kiel was caught out by a wicked bounce and the ball rebounded to Anthony James who drove home to make it 1-0.

Crawley fought their way back into the game and after 15 minutes they were level. Graham Clark and Joe Hankins combined well to set up the speedy Stephen Amadi who went clear and finished well to make it 1-1.

Amadi went close again shortly after when Baldock's keeper Ollie Skinner flapped at a cross but his effort went wide.

Crawley started to dominate the game and after 37 minutes they took the lead. New signing Jordan Mongey finished off a flowing move down the left with a fierce drive that flew past Skinner to make it 1-2.

Just before half-time Kiel came to Crawley's rescue when he made a great point blank save from James from a cross from the left and it finished 1-2 at the break.

Crawley were quickly out of the blocks after the break and Clark had an early chip cannon off the bar and the following corner was scrambled off the line.Just before the hour Crawley doubled their lead when another corner from the right was headed home by Amadi to make it 1-3.

A headed goal from Crawley's Luke Andrews was then ruled out for offside before the Maroons made it 1-4 after 72 minutes.Dan Blackman set up Mongey who crossed from the left and Amadi converted to complete his hat trick and make it 1-4.

Amadi then had another goal ruled out for handball before Baldock made 2-4 after 86 minutes with a header from Ash Hay to set up a nervy finish for the Maroons.

However Crawley stood firm in the final minutes to secure their first League win since October.
