Crawley Green FC 0 v Risborough Rangers FC 4
The Maroons put in a gutsy performance against high flying Rangers but in the end were beaten 0-4 to continue their woes at the foot of the table.

The visitors dominated throughout the game but the Maroons were content to soak up the pressure and hit the visitors on the break.Daniel Blackman had an early shot saved by Jack Brooker and Luke Andrews set up Kienan Malone who fired over.

Rangers replied with a cross from the right which Asher Yearwood headed wide. Mark Blower then made two fine saves to deny Yearwood and Macus Wyllie. The pressure finally told in the 36th minute when Kieron Schmidt headed home a cross from the right to make it 0-1.

Crawley should have equalised just before the break when Ollie Brennan went clear but he shot tamely at Brooker who saved easily and the chance of parity at the break was gone.

In the second half Blackman had a free kick headed wide by Malone and Rangers replied with a header from Wyllie which hit the bar.

Rangers started to up the intensity and on the hour they doubled their lead when Asher Yearwood finished off a good move to make it 0-2.

The overworked Maroons battled manfully but conceded 2 more goals in the last 5 minutes.

Yearwood converted with a stunning drive from a corner.Schmidt then went one better with a screamer from 25 yards which flew past Blower to make it 0-4.

Crawley Green Reserves beat Cranfield United 3-1 with goals from Lui Sarrington, George Onwusonye and an own goal.

Next Saturday Crawley Green travel to New Salamis and the Reserves travel to Shefford.
