Cray Wanderers made a welcome return to winning ways with a 2-0 win at Bognor Regis Town

Cray and their supporters have had to endure seven winless weeks since the end of December - a run that included a 3-1 home defeat against Bognor on 15 January.

But the Wands turned the tables at Nyewood Lane with a strong display that saw centre half and skipper Mark Willy return from suspension to shore up the defence.

Cray striker Michael Power had been stretchered off the field during last Saturday's heavy defeat at Kingstonian, but seven days later he was recovered and ready to make a powerplay against the Bognor defence.

Cray started with intent and James Fray put in a shot after 3 minutes.

Power went close with two fierce shots before giving Cray the lead on 54 minutes with a blistering 18-yard shot that will be a certain candidate for "Goal of the Season" for the Wands.

Six minutes later Cray doubled their lead when they opened up the Rocks' defence for Alex Stavrinou to finish neatly.

Cray are at home to Hastings United next Saturday (3pm).
