CRAY WANDERERS U16s vs BROMLEY U16s 26/10/14

Cray Wanderers 1
Bromley 4

Cray’s U16s were beaten by Bromley’s more clinical finishing in a lively game at the Goals Centre in Eltham. The final scoreline was rather hard on Phil Foster’s side as the Wands took the game to Bromley in the first half and were unlucky not to be ahead at the interval.

After 2 minutes a curling effort from Theo White went just wide of the goal. Cray looked a threat from set pieces particularly Charlie Foster’s corners. Cray were playing some pleasing on the eye football early on with Bromley only threatening from long range.

On 28 minutes Bromley took the lead when a ball over the top fell to Richard Pingling who scored with a composed finish.

Basil Ajaka shot wide from a tight angle and Ometefe Edosio chipped the ball over the bar as Cray looked to come back straight away.

Half Time: 0-2

In the second half, Bromley looked a much better side and struck three goals each of them well created and finished.

Andy Soma scored the first of two goal in the 49th minute with a low strike. Then 5 minutes later Devontae Irving-Young made it 3-0 with another well time run and finish.

Cray were still looking to play their football but Bromley went 4-0 up on 62 minutes with Soma’s second goal.

For Cray Ajaka, Sullivan and Edosio came close to scoring before in the last minute of the game Cray scored a goal their performance merited when Foster’s corner found its way to Ahmed Bangura who struck a firm shot into the bottom right corner.

Cray lineup: Sean Law, Charlie Foster, Ahmed Bangura, Victory Oyinkola, Charlie Horbacki, Jordan Sullivan, Basil Ajaka, Bishal Taranghe, Alex Sneddon, Theo White, Bailey Keogh: Subs: Callum Fowler, Ometefe Edosio, Jordan Thomas, Ali Koki, Joshua Faukasi
