A look ahead to tomorrow's first ever game against Glebe.

The next fixture in Cray’s pre-season campaign takes place tomorrow as the Wands face Glebe FC for the very first time. Please note the kick off time for this fixture is 7.00pm.

This will be the fourth match of the pre-season and Cray will be looking to maintain the fine second half form of Tuesday night when a very clinical display saw five goals after the break to defeat Holmesdale. For those that have not had the opportunity to watch Cray recently, the Wands have been playing some good attacking football in the last two games and on Tuesday this was bore out with some very well worked goals. In particular, James Duckworth and Andre McCollin have forged a very good understanding up front and Leigh Bremner has shown he has lost none of his qualities that have made him a Cray Wanderers legend. The defence which looked shaky in the first two games looked very solid against Holmesdale and with the games coming thick and fast in the next couple of weeks this form is likely to continue with more game time.

Our opponents, Glebe FC were formed in 1995 as a youth team and became a senior team for the 2013-14 season when they became members of the Step 6, Kent Invicta League. This will be their third season at that level and last season finished seventh in the table. They had been based at Holmesdale’s Oakley Road ground but this season have moved to their new home at Foxbury Avenue in Chislehurst.

For those are hoping to pop along tomorrow the address is: Glebe Football Club. Foxbury Avenue, off Perry Street, Chislehurst, Kent, BR7 6HA.

The club is located just off the A222 close to the Vauxhall Garage and a stone’s throw away from the Sidcup bypass. If you are looking for a bite to eat and a spot of dinner then the Frogpool Manor restaurant is a short walk away but in Chislehurst itself there are plenty of places to eat. The nearest pub is the Sydney Arms in Old Perry Street. The nearest station is Chislehurst but is close to two miles away. The 269 bus from the station will take you close to the ground. The 260 bus will also take you there either heading to or from Sidcup.
