Girls edge end to end thriller

Crosfields were looking to bounce back from dropping their first points of the season following Northwich Vickies well deserved victory last week and made their attacking intentions clear from the first minute with Millie Perry and Elle Whittaker looking to dominate the middle of the pitch from the off.

The attacks were coming thick and fast with Sanabach breaking well but the back line of Mia Bates and Jessie Byers stood firm until on the break Sandbach were rightly awarded a pen following a hand ball which Megan Parker made a great save from the resulting spot kick and the girls found a second wind and continued to attack with gusto, following a far post run by Katie Richardson Millie Perry was allowed the half a yard she needed to squeeze the ball in to make it 1 nil at the break.

After a quick change of keeper that saw Fiona Dennett come on for megan parker the girls continued to push for the second and deservedly got it when Katie Richardson scored following a good save from the keeper.

The girls held on and did well to keep out the ever increasing pressure being out on them by a good sandbach team until they pulled one back before the girls saw a heroic piece of goalkeeping that saw Scarlett Campbelll some how keep 4 different players at by single handed which ended with her being subbed after getting a kick on her wrist.

A great game of football match that showed the real quality and emergence of the girls games.

Well Done girls title dream is still alive.....
