Many members will remember Paddy from his time and as a key member of Shirley Wanderers over the 60’s and 70’s
- before he was tempted away and left the mother country ending up in New York. Such was the influence of Shirley Wanderers Paddy went on to found the Lions of NYC modelling it after Shirley Wanderers. Croydon RFC and the Lions of NYC have a formal twinning arrangement so if you find yourself in New York for any length of time make sure you visit Paddy and the lads at http://www.villagelions.org
