1st Team v Irlam

Daisy got off to a poor start again showing defensive frailty in first 5 minutes. continually change is making it hard for daisy to get continuity.The manager feels it is taken time for new players to bed in with old and this will take time to bed in. Daisy equalised through Gregory with a fanatastic strike low into bottom corner. daisy then on top again combusted with the defence coming out on a crossed ball leaving attacker off side to head ball into the net. To the keep and defences dismay the liner did not flag and daisy were down yet again 2-1. Another freak goal saw Daisy trail 3-1 after scanlons clearance hit Irlam player in the face on edge of box and deflected into the top corner. A great fight back pleased the manager at half time where two goals from LEVI Adams with the second coming from a £% yard screamer into the roof of the net meant the sides went in level at half time. Daisy came out of the traps well in second half with some good chances from Gregory and greenacre. Only to allow another defensive slip which allowed the Irlam forward to sprint onto the through ball over the top. Goal keper Thomas came out well and reach the ball at the same time as Irlam forward who flick the ball onto the diasies keepers chest and shoulder with the keeper clearing into crowd. The ref deemed it to be hand ball and dismissed the goalie. Daisy Hill have just had no luck this season and had to work hard to try to gain something from the game. Daisy still were the dominant team looking comfortable even with ten men, but tiredness set in at the end and Irlam found the extra man on the break to secure all 3 points 4-3. Daisy still had chances from gregory and Holaran to take something from the game but good keeping fro irlam keeper prevented Daisy getting off the mark. If Daisy can sort out defensive issues they definitely have the fire power to score goals.
