An 88th minute goal from Nelson's Sam Dickinson sealed a 3-2 win for the visitors at New Sirs.

Daisy Hill fell to their fourth successive defeat after Sam Dickinson's late winner stole the points for Nelson.

In a game that sparked into life in the second half, Daisy came from behind to take a 2-1 lead midway through the second half, although Nelson levelled with just under 20 minutes remaining.

Daisy were left rueing late missed chances when Dickinson powered his way through to fire home the winner for the Admirals, giving them revenge for the 6-3 defeat inflicted on them by Daisy just over a month ago.

Although there was plenty of endeavour in the opening 45 minutes, neither side really troubled the opposing goalkeepers, although Daisy had the better of the chances that were created.

In the opening 20 minutes Jake O'Brien twice tested Ben Parkinson with shots that the keeper had to push away and on 34 minutes Danny Warburton was unlucky when a cross-cum-shot from the left just missed the far post.

Daisy finished the half strongly with a shot from Jamie Ramwell that just missed the target, and then on the stroke of half time a fine flowing move started by Jacob Ridings found Jake O'Brien in space on the right, whose floated cross was met with a header by Sam Howell that went just wide.

After the break, the tone for an exciting second half was set with seconds of the restart, when Craig Haynes in the Daisy goal dived full length across goal to push away a goal bound header from Nelson's Gareth Hill.

However, it was Hill who finally broke the deadlock to open the scoring on 59 minutes, when he picked up the ball on the edge of the box from a corner, cut inside and buried a low shot into the net to give the Admirals the lead.

But within five minutes Daisy had hit back in fine style, scoring twice in the space of 60 seconds in a dramatic turnaround.

The equaliser was a well worked move, with Jacobs Ridings' far post cross being headed back into the area by Danny Warburton, and although Jamie Ramwell's first attempt on goal hit the underside of the crossbar and bounced back in to play, the Daisy striker reacted quickly to head the loose ball past Parkinson.

The celebrations had barely subsided when Daisy took the lead, with a goal started on the counter attack after they had gained possession from the restart.

Jamie Ramwell chased a long ball down the right, and having won the chase, laid a nicely weighted pass into the path of Jacob Ridings who rifled a cracking shot across the keeper into the far corner to claim his 11th goal of the season.

But with just under 20 minutes remaining, Nelson were back on level terms, with Yves Zama allowed time and space to pick up a pass on the edge of the box, turn and pick his spot with a shot past Craig Haynes.

ln the closing stages, Daisy threw caution to the wind and drove forward in search of a winner, and the Nelson defence led a charmed life at times as Daisy racked up the chances.

Alex Spencer just failed to connect with a Danny Warburton cross, Warburton himself had a shot pushed out by Nelson keeper Parkinson, Jacob Ridings had a shot blocked and then a great move involving Jake O'Brien and Danny Warburton set another chance for Spencer, but his shot on the turn was saved by Parkinson.

However, there was heartbreak for Daisy with two minutes remaining when Nelson stole the points with a well worked winning goal.

Picking up the ball in midfield, Sam Dickinson advanced in on goal, picked up the return pass from a one-two on the edge of the box, and after shrugging off a challenge he beat Haynes with a low shot into the far corner of the net to seal victory for his side.
