DHC Junior Hockey Tournament
On Sunday the 26th October, our DHC Junior Hockey coaches took a squad of juniors to the Stokesley HC Junior tournament.
Coach Alex provided a summary of the day as follows:
A great day of hockey was had by all! The u10s were playing first. Our 3 U10 stars, joined in with youngsters from other clubs - Stokesley, Tynedale and Norton to play in a small 5 a side tournament. All the youngsters who turned up played and impressed the coaches with their enthusiasm. Safe to say that Oliver, William and Amy stood out in their teams, all showing off what they have learned in training. Well done to you all!
A second cohort of 13 DHC junior players turned up and took part in 2 hours of fun hockey. They split into 2 teams with the older ones ending up WINNING the tournament!!! The 4 younger players joined with players from other clubs as well. Our youngest player of the afternoon, James who is only 8 was playing 2 age group above but still managed to impress. The 2 goalkeepers, Emily and Isaac were kept busy and played for every team in the end! Amazing effort from you both!
Great fun was had by everyone. Thanks to Mike for umpiring and thanks to Stokesley for organising it!
Well done to all players, it’s great to see DHC getting involved with other clubs and their junior members across the County!
