Hummersknott school have been running a hockey morning club for the last 8 years. Teacher Hayley Millar, is the diving force to help promote hockey in Darlington, organising tournaments and matches throughout the year. With the help of Darlington Hockey Clubs coach Jason Mulroy and Bishop Aucklands Sue Lorimer the sessions have grown year on year meaning our best session had 80 children.

Our current crop of year 7s, is 30 strong and an equal mixture of boys and girls. Over half of these also attend Darlington Hockey clubs Junior training sessions on Monday evenings at Carmel school.
