We are very proud to announce that Mark Lowe will take over as Club President, with Ali Bell in line as Vice President. Ali is poised to become the first Lady President of our club in our 159 year history, something that we agree is well overdue.

We give our thanks to Andy Gunnell who has been in the role since 2019, taking us through some of the most testing times we have ever experienced.

Mark Lowe said “It's a privilege for me to be asked to be president of DRFC and an honour I never thought in a million years that I would be asked, but I'm looking forward to the task in hand. And hopefully will be down supporting and maybe playing a few games, if my body let's me!

As well as popping down on Sunday supporting the minies and ladies, spreading the word that we are one big family, so once again thank you, and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone once I get back.”

Ali Bell also commented “It is an honour and a pleasure to be asked to be Vice President for a club that I have played at and supported for over twenty years - a club that has become a second family.

Being the first woman in our history to win the Clubman of the Year award and now the Vice Presidency I am proud to lead the way for all the women and girls following behind me, from our new U12’s girls through to the ladies team.”
