The 1st XV start their 2019/20 Durham/Northumberland Division Two campaign with a trip to newly promoted Seaton Carew RUFC this weekend.

Despite suffering defeat away at Winlaton Vulcans in the Junior County Cup last weekend, some stand-out performances and increased player availability give head coach Dan Miller a selection headache ahead of the season opener.

Darren Hoare, 1st XV captain, said: "This week is going to provide a few selection headaches.

"Despite the result there were some outstanding individual performances against Winlaton and we're looking forward to getting back on the pitch."

For spectators wishing to travel to Hornby Park to watch the game, the address is: Hornby Park, Elizabeth Way, Seaton Carew, Hartlepool, TS25 2AZ. Kick-off is at 15:00.
