Sunday saw an under strength DRFC U9s team do extremely well in lovely rugby conditions.

We only had five players so for both our games against our hosts Acklam we borrowed two players from their team – to be fair, our boys were on such good form we probably could have won without the loanees!

Our first game saw DRFC win 16 : 8 with tries from Oliver St (9), Joe (2), Nathan (3) and our Acklam player (2). Tackle of the match was expertly delivered by Joe.

Game 2 was a similar affair with a 16 : 7 winning score to DRFC. All round excellent play from all our players with Peter scoring his first try for the team – well done Peter! Further tries came from Oliver St (7), Joe (3), Nathan (2) and Acklam players on loan (3).
