We are a small, welcoming club with a thriving Minis rugby section. The Darlington Calves is specifically for Year 1 and Reception boys and girls and aims to provide a safe, friendly environment for younger children to run around, make friends and have fun as well as offer a great opportunity to improve fitness and develop hand-to-eye coordination.

Tag rugby is strictly non-contact with players wearing a Velcro belt with two tags hanging from it – players are ‘tackled’ by having one of their tags pulled off. These sessions will introduce tag rugby and encourage children to practise ball handling, communication and teamwork skills through different games and activities.

If your child is interested in rugby or would just like to do some fun sports activities on a Sunday morning, why don’t you come along to a training session - every Sunday morning 9.45-10.45am at Blackwell Meadows, Grange Road, Darlington DL1 5NR (September to April). New players are entitled to two free taster sessions and subs are then paid monthly.
