Dartford Lose in Tough and Close Game

Dartford 1XV narrowly lost to Greenwich in a long standing friendly rivalry 34 -21.

Dartford had several chances to put the game out of contention and very very unlucky to not do so. Some questionable decisions and bad luck added to there misfortune.

Greenwich played a great first half and racked up the points, but as there fitness waned Dartford stepped up and pulled the game back to within 1 point. Dartford should have been awarded a penalty try between the posts in the last 5 minutes after Greenwich players were seen sealing the ball on the ground repeatedly. Sadly the referee was on the wrong side to see it.

Putting there bodies on the line proved a good tactic for the home side as the turn over gave them the break and a last minute try that ended the game.

The Dartford lads showed how far they have come over the last season and look forward to pushing harder next year, they now have some great talent coming through the club.

We look forward to next season.
