The creation of a Club Youth section is a crucial part of ensuring the future of DVRFC, especially in RWC World Cup Year and is based on 4 key areas - Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline & Sportsmanship.

Our commitment is to make sure Kid's are safe, have fun and learn more than just Rugby skills.

We are currently working on all aspects for launch - Sponsorship, Coaching, Kit, RFU support, Volunteers, Recruitment . Thank you to all who have helped so far. We have been very surprised and pleased by the amount of enthusiasm from within and outside the club for this new part of the club.

We will be positing regular progress updates over the next 3 months, working towards a launch event the weekend after easter.
Most importantly, if you have a child you want to be involved, or know of someone else with children who may be interested, please contact me directly with the following info:

Age Groups - everyone is welcome - boys & girls - from 3-16 - we will reassess groups in September when we have established numbers ... but rest assured, nobody will be denied access to the club providing they arrive with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

To give you an idea of the type of additional help we need, please see below and let me know if there is anything you can do:

- Sponsorship - we are currently working on a couple of potential main sponsors, but we would like to involve as many smaller local businesses as possible - please discuss with your accountant what you could offer to support DVRFC kid's rugby.

- Coaching - anyone interested in getting your basic RFU coaching qualifications? we can arrange it for you... get in touch.

- Refereeing - as with coaching, anyone interested in being a referee? remember, it is not like football, you are listened to and respected! get in touch.

- General volunteers - Refreshments, Promotional material printing, recruitment helpers (distributing promo flyers to local primary/secondary schools, etc)? get in touch.
