A tough game against a very much improved Southend RFC Ladies to what we saw in our previous fixture. The ladies started slow but soon began to find their rhythm in the game and tested the Southend defence on various occasions until a try and conversion from Kayleigh Hurst brought us into the game. We went with a very mixed team which saw some of the Roses playing in their first, second and third games, and some playing in new positions. Despite the score, the Roses defended valiantly, and represented the club with pride and honour for the full duration
