1st XV Vs Brockleians

Tough day at the office for the 1st XV today. We knew it would be, playing against a team that has been in the league above us for years, and just been relegated. That's why we organised two challenging pre-season fixtures, and seeing as the results over those 3 games have dropped by roughly 20 points conceded each time, I'm not sure there is much more we could have asked; especially as we played 56 minutes with only 14 men (some of whom were playing on injuries)

Defence and commitment was definitely there for all to see. I don't recall being turned over at ruck, or any opposition players making clear breaks through our defensive line.

We definitely left a few tries on the pitch, thanks to my biased darts (sorry - it's my first season throwing), and some innacurate passing in the backs going to an imaginary 16th (15th) man, when we had overlaps.
