I was very pleased with the performance against Brackley, I made eight changes to the starting eleven after Saturday`s defeat and I was pleased with the result.

Playing against a much changed, but still very strong Brackley team, we gave a very good account of ourselves. Brackley fielded eight players, all of who have Conference League experience, so I feel we played well in a tight game, against good quality players.
Brackley had their chances, as you would expect, but we worked hard and once again looked strong in the later stages of the match and deserved our lead, with a well taken goal from Trevor McCreadie.
Hopefully, we will have no reaction to any of the returning players on Saturday and I hope to be choosing from a full strength squad for the FA Cup game.
Ollie Stanbridge made his debut today and we hope to have his services tied up for the weekend, after a three month holiday, he looked well on top of his fitness, coming through one hundred and twenty minutes.
It was a very good workout for a much changed Daventry outfit and to come away with a win, just proves that we have some decent strength in depth at the club.
Now we can relax and go into Saturday`s game with no pressure, everyone at the club will be doing their best to make it another good day for everyone connected with Daventry Town Football Club, players, officials and supporters.
If you can get along to the game on Saturday, come along and give us your support, it should be a great game!
