Foster urges `One last push` from players and supporters

Foster urges `One last push` from players and supporters

JIM DAVIS

Daventry Town Manager Darran Foster reflected not only on the Chalfont match, but the clubs successful season!

`I can`t be disappointed with my players, they have given the club one of its most memorable seasons ever and we have reached the play off semi –finals, despite playing twenty games in eight weeks!

`We should have got something from the Chalfont game, we gifted them a cheap goal, and then we miss two sitters at the other end! Congratulations must go to our visitors, who came to win the game and worked us very hard.

`The Play – off semi – final will be a massive test of character for the boys and we shall need to be at our best to get anything from the game. The lads are still hurting from the Easter Monday clash, when we dominated for long periods but got no reward.
I am a great believer that things happen for a reason and let`s hope, this is one of them!

`Kettering Town will be firm favourites to win this tie, for the first time in weeks the pressure is off us and on the Poppies!
We can go and enjoy the occasion and see where it takes us, after all the play offs are a lottery! It`s one game, anything can happen!

`It will be the biggest crowd of the season at Latimer Park, Kettering have had some fantastic attendances all season, but if ever there was a time for the Town of Daventry to get behind its football club, it is now!

`I would hope for a few hundred travelling `Purple Army` supporters to make their way over to Burton Latimer and give us their support.
`This season has thrown up many wonderful memories, the club has achieved so much already! Reaching the first round of the FA Cup and running out in front of over 5,000 supporters at the Proact Stadium , Chesterfield was a highlight, a hugely successful run in the FA Trophy and we are County Cup Winners for the first time in our history, plus we have reached the play – offs! If I had been offered all of this way back in August, I would have snapped your hand off!

`We have one game to secure our ultimate ambition for this season, my lads will be absolutely buzzing and ready to throw everything at Kettering!
