Ashley joined Daventry Town in September 2013 from Kettering Town for whom he had played for the first month of the season. Prior to Kettering he was at Slough Town. Ashley was signed by Slough Manager Steve Bateman in the summer of 2012, along with his brother David.
Ashley Deeney who can play at right back or wing back was previously at Luton Town, from where he joined St Neots Town on loan in season 2011/12. He later signed a permanent deal with the Saints and played against his old club Slough that season. He later moved to King's Lynn Town in January 2012 for the remainder of that season before joining Slough. He spent a short period at Kettering Town before moving to Daventry Town in September 2013.
Ashley has been an ever present in the Daventry team since joining the club and was made club captain in November 2014.
