Our first festival of the season was at Huntly on Saturday, 15th September 2018. A cracking day, great turn out from all clubs, and even some sunshine made a perfect day for rugby and good fun for the players, coaches and parents. Deeside Micros had two teams; Deeside (red) Fire, and Deeside (yellow) Hornets, both with a fantastic blend across the age groups, lots of our newer players able to come along and all getting stuck in straight way!
Our teams on the day were:
Deeside Fire – Angus, Archie, Hayden, James, Kai, Rollo and Struan
Deeside Hornets – Atholl, Aiden, Cameron, Cammie, Harrison, Lennon, Lucas, and, Lucas!
Everyone played brilliantly so early in the season, and as always, the medals received will take pride of place at home, and rightly so!
Thanks to:
■ Huntly RFC for hosting, arranging and feeding all the players
■ Everyone who was able to make to make it up to the bonny town of Huntly
■ All parents and guardians for agreeing to some great photos – check out the Facebook page!!!
Planned fixtures (training and festivals) are just about finalised for the season, see calendar link.
Training back at Woodend next Saturday, 21 September as normal, 09.30 am start.
Have a great week!
Jim and Simon
