It was a bright start from the Reds as they pushed their Sheffield visitors back in the early stages though the first opportunity fell to frecheville with Reds keeper Jake Barton having to make an instinctive stop from a side foot volley from Shelley after he connected with a near post corner. Pressing their visitors back United took the lead on 12 minutes, a long throw from Liam Ramsay wasn't cleared and Steve Ellor with his back to goal hooked the ball back towards the far post and Aiden Oakley was on hand to head home.
United still pressed their visitors back but a serious injury to a visiting player which led to a 5 minute stoppage seemed to break the Reds momentum and Frecheville got more into the game and forced an equaliser, a right wing cross somehow found its way to the far post and was forced home to make it 1-1. Frecheville were on the ascendency now and looked the livelier side, and got their noses in front with a stunning free kick from 25 yards as they went to the break 2-1 ahead.
The second period saw United boss the territory as they pushed the visitors back for long periods but failed to test the opposition keeper enough with a good near post effort from Aiden Oakley which was pushed round the post by the keeper and a long range effort from Silas Colins which was easily held by the keeper being the token efforts at goal . United pressed hard without causing too much concern to the visitors goal and they were susceptible to quick breaks, Frecheville might have increased their lead with one such break before they did make the points safe with a break in stoppage time from which they grabbed their third.
This was a second successive defeat for United since the turn of the year but they remain above the relegation spots as other results went in their favour, in addition the reds do have a couple of games in hand.
