Denbigh have had to postpone the last two home matches namely against Llanrhaeadr Y M at the weekend and against Holywell on Tuesday due to a waterlogged pitch.
It is very clear that with more rain due we would still not be able to play at Central Park this coming weekend and have therefore, with the kind permission of the league, Airbus Broughton FC and with Bala FC's co operation moved the match to Maes Tegid the home of Bala FC in order that the game can go ahead on the 3G pitch. The kick off time remains the same at 2.30pm.
Airbus are almost certainly guaranteed the league title this year and there is a huge 35 points between the two teams in the league table. However Denbigh Town always give them a game and we will be fighting for every point in the six remaining matches as we work to be part of the new Championship league next year and not get relegated to Tier 3. We have played Airbus twice already this season losing 2 nil at home in a Cup and the same score away in the league.
The managers have got the team prepared but will be without midfielder Sam Downey and striker Mark Roberts as both are suspended. The weather forecast is not good and we expect high winds and driving rain during the match would could be a leveller, you never know, and it would be great if Denbigh could nick something from this one. The lads will certainly be making every effort!
C'mon Denbigh !
See ya at Bala
