Tomorrow evening [ Friday ] will be an ideal opportunity to get out, get some fresh air and watch a good game of football at Central Park as Denbigh Town play host to Greenfield in the Lockstock Welsh Alliance League.

Greenfield are currently in 6th position in the table but have a number of games in hand over teams above and have looked one of the stronger teams in the league this campaign. Sam Jones has been their top marksman to date and managed to find the net four times in a recent cup game and is surely someone we have to watch.

Denbigh will be trying to cause problems in the Greenfield defence themselves and will hope to continue their rich vein of form. It appears as if the lads have been scoring goals for fun lately as well as defending well but manager Dewi Llion had a cautious note " Greenfield will be a much more difficult opponent than Blaenau last week and we will certainly have a game on our hands. By all accounts Greenfield were unlucky not to get at least a point against leaders Holyhead in the league and had a very good away win at Llanrwst who are also one of the top teams chasing the title. We must stay motivated and make every effort if we are to carry on winning our games. I would like to add that I hope everyone associated with the club from the senior players, junior players, coaches and other volunteers had a great day yesterday and we want them to continue to enjoy the holidays. It would be nice if we could do our bit tomorrow."

Note, however, that we are still having problems with our pitch being waterlogged and may well be trying to arrange a pitch inspection tomorrow. Please keep an eye on our social media for any updates.

If the game is on we will have the cafe and licensed bar open and there will be ample car parking and covered seating.

Love to see you there at Central Park. C'mon Denbigh !
