The visitors arrived fighting for their survival in the league and the opening 10 minutes saw Denbigh start bright keeping the ball and passing it well all over the park. The away side looked a threat on the break and were made to pay for missing several openings later in the half as they took control of the game with a strong wind at their backs and driving rain Llanfair dominated the half.
Strong words at half time and the introduction of Ant Williams and Kristian Pierce saw a change in formation with the home team moving the ball quicker and starting to get on top. A dubious decision on 62 minutes seemed to turn the game Elliot Power pushed a shot onto the post and Jamie Davies fired home only for an offside flag to be raised much to the dismay of many in the ground.
On 66 minutes the winning goal arrived Alan Bull picked the ball up some 40 yards from goal ran at the defence and smashed home a superb strike to seal the points. On 70 minutes the Llanfair keeper pulled off one of many superb saves in the closing 20 minutes as Bull again went close. On 73 minutes Denbigh thought they had scored a 2nd when a superb through ball from Sal Kisidu saw Phil Molyneux finish but again a poor decision ruled the goal out. It was Denbigh who were bossing the game with Bull and Williams going close. On 90 minutes a superb break saw the ball played to Pierce but with the goal open his shot went wide.
Another 3 points collected as the season draws to a close with our last home game Saturday against Cefn Druids which is massive game as both clubs chase Caernarfon.
