Dewsbury celtic played hosts to Gateshead storm and got off to a terrible start with the visitors 0-12 in the first 10 minutes with tries from Scoot Woods AND David Cash both converted by Danny Chetwyn . Once again they were having to come from behind but tries from Danny Lee and Paul Foulstone one converted by Pat Foulstone put them back in the game at 10 – 12 after 20 minutes However over recent games Celtics inability to control the ball and concede penalties in crucial areas of the field lead to the visitors scoring three tries all from close range with Cash completing his hat trick and Woods his second with two conversions by Chetwyn gave them A 10 -28 lead by half time
A penalty just after the restart put the visitors further ahead at 10 –30. The Celtic team on show over recent weeks is a very young inexperienced team at this level many a team would have crumbled but their attitude is superb they kept going with a try from George Senior con Foulstone 16- 30 to give them an outside chance , Gateshead put the game out of reach in the 65 with a try by Andrrew Morris con by Chetwyn 16- 36 a further penalty from Chetwyn made it 16 38 . celtic kept going , scored the best try of the game when they broke from within their own 20 metres with slick handling to see george senior score under the posts converted by foulstone making the final score 22-38
