The U15 Girls had a fantastic win against Alton Petersfield at Alton today. The girls showed great strength and fitness playing a 12 a side game with some players playing out of position. The players adapted well and impressed everybody playing as a cohesive team, identifying where they could make improvements and applying this as the game developed. The players were quick to the ruck, with many turn overs in the ruck, were solid with the tackles, demonstrated line speed, showed creativity in attack with side-steps and dummy passes and were fast to claim any loose balls. All this lead to a massive 16 tries and with the conversions resulted in a 10:90 win.
As Alton Petersfield were a little short on players today, our girls showed great Core Values and some of our players played with Alton Petersfield. These players deserve a very special shout-out for giving it all even though they were playing against their own team-mates, even scoring a try against Didcot. They also directed a couple of less experienced Alton Petersfield players on the pitch, putting the Didcot girls under pressure.
