Our match with Gosford All Blacks on Sunday was a tough and physical encounter. Players from both sides tackled hard and fought for the ball. This is the first game that we have had where the physical element was at the fore of everything the team achieved. In a 60 minute game a score of 3 tries to 2 shows how close the teams were and perhaps a draw would have been the fairest result. Didcot U13s showed real resilience in the end with both teams starting to tire, to edge the win.
The forwards showed real improvement in their scrummaging with good positions and tenacity. The backs showed some great running lines and superb off loads in the tackle. Speaking to the spectators and other coaches afterwards, everyone agreed this was a great game of physical rugby.
The team have come a long way this year and have improved exponentially. Of course as always there are still things to work on which we will discuss on Thursday night. Well done to every one and hopefully we can keep improving though out the rest of the season.
