Didcot lose despite Hall Hat-trick on crazy afternoon in Inkberrow

Match Report Crazy afternoon in Inkberrow

If ever there was a game of two halves, it was at Sands Road, Inkberrow, on Saturday, as Didcot went down to a 6-4 defeat despite a Tyger Hall hat-trick.

The railwaymen dominated the first half and deservedly led 3-1 at the break, but a second-half fightback, led by Aidan Clark, who scored four in the game, earned the hosts the points.

Didcot started brightly, but they went behind inside ten minutes when Clark scored his first of the afternoon as he reacted quickest after an initial shot had hit the bar.

Didcot levelled halfway through the half when Tyger Hall turned home a Cam Mills cross from close range.

Mills then turned goalscorer as he fired home after JP Nyuysemo had twice been denied.

Hall then scored his second as an attempted clearance by the keeper was blocked by Hall, and he fired into an empty net.

Inkberrow made the perfect start to the second half when Jay Higgins-Pugsley scored from close range.

The game was turned on its head halfway through the half when Inkberrow scored twice in the space of a minute. Clark scored his second to bring the clash level, and then Aaron Evans-Harriott fired the home side ahead.

Clark completed his hat-trick when he got in behind the Didcot defence with just over 15 minutes remaining.

Didcot were thrown a lifeline with seven minutes remaining. Hall was fouled in the area, and he got up to fire home and complete his hat-trick.

Any chance of a fightback was quickly extinguished when Clark completed the scoring with his fourth of the afternoon as Didcot lost a topsy-turvy clash 6-4.
