Three more points on home soil

Didcot Town produced a strong second-half performance to beat Tavistock 3-0 to continue their impressive home record since Christmas.

The railwaymen scored three times in the second half, with Tyger Hall continuing his great form with two more goals to add to his hat trick last weekend.

Dylan Conlan put the cherry on the cake in injury time as he scored his first goal of the season as Didcot made it five home wins in a row and a fourth clean sheet in those five wins at home.

A tight first half saw Felix Robertson go closest for Didcot. His effort going just wide.

At the other end, Leighton Thomas was looking dangerous for the visitors, and he had Leigh Bedwell scrambling back to make one save.

In the second half we were much the stronger. Jenson Wright and Cam McNeill both had chances, and Didcot twice had claims for a penalty waved away by the referee.

Didcot finally broke the deadlock just past the hour. Tyger Hall scored his first of the afternoon, as he got in behind the defence following a through ball from Jenson Wright.

The lead was doubled just over ten minutes later when Hall pounced on a defensive mistake to score his second of the afternoon. Tyger has now scored 15 goals this season in all competitions.

Didcot wrapped up the three points in injury time when Dylan Conlan finished off after Owen James had forced the keeper into a save.

The win makes it nine points from a possible twelve in February.

A good win for Didcot, who remain in twelfth position in the league on 39 points.
