Didcot Town and Westbury United shared the points in a 1-1 draw at the Loop Meadow Stadium on the final afternoon of the season.
Despite both teams having nothing to play for but pride on the final day, both sides contributed to an entertaining game.
JP Nyuysemo went close for Didcot early on in the game. JP cut inside before firing wide from distance.
Westbury went ahead on 14 minutes. Daniel Restorick glancing his header home from a corner.
Didcot almost levelled on 20 minutes. A free kick from Lochlan Colquhoun found the head of Luke Carnell at the far post. His header across goal found Tyger Hall, but his header was saved by the Westbury keeper.
Didcot levelled on 38 minutes, and it was a good flowing move that found the leveller.
Rocco Sughayer, who was back at the Loop for his final appearance in what's been a very successful loan period, drove forward. Rocco found JP Nyuysemo, and his low cross was turned home by Tyger Hall. It's been a productive first season at the Loop for Tyger, who finishes the season with 17 goals in all competitions, to finish the season as the leading goalscorer.
The railwaymen finished the half strongly, and Dylan Conlan fired over from the edge of the area.
Owen James went close on 70 minutes. The striker seeing his volley go just wide. Owen's also had a very productive first season at the Loop, finishing the season with 16 goals in all competitions, and he was the leading goalscorer in the league with 14 goals.
Didcot were reduced to ten men shortly afterwards when captain Adam Learoyd was shown a straight red card. Adam was the last man when he caught the Westbury attacker. You would have hoped with only 20 minutes of the season remaining, the referee may have shown some leniency, but he was quick to show the red card, and the Didcot skipper will now miss the start of next season.
Despite the numerical disadvantage, Didcot had a great chance to win it in injury time. A good long ball by Lochlan Colquhoun found Tyger Hall, and his cutback found JP Nyuysemo in space, but he could only shoot straight at the keeper. It would have been a great way to finish the season for JP had he scored. The midfielder has had a fantastic first season for Didcot.
The draw sees Didcot finish the season in 13th place with 50 points.
