An away victory but thoughts are with James Keeble who broke his tibia early in the game.

Bridgwater kicked off the game which saw Didcot start off brightly with a lot of through balls and promising goal scoring opportunities however Dutton-Black and Janes were both questionably flagged offside.

Didcot pushing to open the scoring saw James Keeble make a superb tackle in the 17th minute to regain possession injuring himself in the process which resulted in Keeble being stretchered off and taken to A&E with a suspected broken leg.

As the game resumed for the rest of the first half Didcot continued to push Bridgwater's defence. George Reid with the most notable opportunity, one on one with the keeper his touch was slightly too heavy and was collected by Bridgwater keeper, Jake Viney.

The deadlock was broken on the 30th minute when a corner was tapped in through a sea of Bridgwater players by Jack Self for his second league goal of the season.

With the second half underway the pace of the game seemed slow with both teams struggling to break past the back four but the tempo steadily increased as the half progressed.

The 66th minute saw George Reid fouled on the touch line of the Bridgwater end resulting in a Didcot free kick which was well defended by the strong Bridgwater defence and cleared for a corner; the resulting corner was met by the head of Ballard which ricochet off the crossbar and cleared to safety.

Didcot appeared to have the majority of the possession as they put pressure on Bridgwater to try for a second goal. Alex Woodhouse looked to slot a shot past Viney but was brought down by a tackle from behind 5 yards outside of an empty penalty area. Didcot were unable to capitalise on the subsequent free kick.

Bridgwater's only real chance of the game came on the 80th minute when a counter attack against the run of play saw them fire from range only stopped by the crossbar.

Mark Janes had a late opportunity to make it 0-2 to the visitors but after manoeuvring around the keeper only managed to hit the post when it seemed easier to score.

After 5 minutes of stoppage time the game was called to an end with Didcot taking away the 3 points and looking towards next weeks match against Bashley.
