Didcot Town return home tomorrow afternoon as playoff chasing Welwyn Garden City make the journey to the Loop in Southern League Division One Central, 3pm kick off.
Diddy have won 2 of their last 3 games with wins over Biggleswade and Wantage Town while the only defeat was a close 1-0 loss to league leaders Corby Town. Welwyn themselves currently sat in the playoff positions come into the game also in good form although they lost last time out at North Leigh on Tuesday evening. before that however they had comfortably beaten fellow playoff hopefuls Bedford Town and gained a creditable draw at another playoff chasing team in Aylesbury United.
Last season saw two close encounters between the sides, Welwyn winning 2-1 on the opening day of the season while the game at the Loop was the late late show as Didcot threw away a 2 goal lead to end up drawing a game they had dominated for the most part. Both teams have changed drastically so there isn't too much to draw on from past games between the sides.
For Didcot they will definitely be without young defender George Gilmore who serves a 1 match suspension after his red card at Wantage last weekend, Joe Green was named among the subs last week following his injury and looks set to come back into the side in defence. Seth Humphries made his return at Wantage last week and he will be pushing for a starting spot, Didcot continue to be without Josh Pin but otherwise Jamie should have a relatively full squad to pick from.
It promises to be another tough but hopefully exciting game for the Railwaymen tomorrow and as ever it would be fantastic to see another excellent crowd at the Loop to cheer the lads on as we go for back to back wins in the league. There will be updates via Twitter for those who can't make the game.
