On an afternoon the Railwaymen will be keen to forget they finished the game with just nine men after Pablo Haysham and Joel Meade were red-carded late-on.
By then the game was well and truly over as Cleeve dominated throughout. It took just 16 minutes for the visitors to go ahead. Jake Lee thumped the ball home from close-range following a long spell of pressure from the visitors.
Didcot almost levelled when Luke Carnell headed against the crossbar from Adam Morris’s corner, but it would have been against the run of play.
The match was effectively settled when Cleeve scored twice in the space of four minutes just after half-time. Haysham was unfortunate to concede a free-kick wide on the right, an incident that also saw him shown a yellow card, and from the resulting set-piece Matt Williams headed home.
Shortly afterwards Nick Hill scored at the second attempt after initially being denied by Diddy keeper Kieran Beesley.
The afternoon got considerably worse for the home side in the closing stages. Haysham was unfortunate to be red-carded after picking up a second yellow card. He was quickly followed into the changing room by Joel Meade who also picked up a second yellow card this time for a cynical foul on Joe Hanks.
In stoppage time Adam Mayo struck home a fourth goal to make it a thoroughly miserable day for Didcot.
