PRIVACY NOTICE.

This is for your information. The GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (GDPR) and pending Data protection act 2018 comes into effect on 25th May 2018 and as a small charity, we need to be compliant with this regulation.
As you know, we currently hold basic personal information about you and obviously we need to hold this data to continue to retain you as an YDF member. We will not use your information for any other purpose or pass it on to a third party.
You have the right to know precisely the information we hold for you and you have the right to make an access request, which we will respond to within 30 days, as prescribed by the GDPR.
You also have the right to request us to erase your personal data from our records or ensure its accuracy.
If other duly elected officers of the YDF take the responsibility to coordinate YDF activities in the future, your data will be passed to those officer(s). If this happens, you will be informed.
All data is held on the YDF officers’ computer hard drive with industry recognised annually updated anti-virus protection. Some of the data is also held on a cloud from a reputable service provider.
All bulk emails are circulated to you under ‘blind copy’ to afford maximum security.
If we suspect there has been a data breach, that will result in the high risk of adversely affecting your rights and freedoms, we will inform you without undue delay then in accordance with the GDPR, report it to the Information Commissioner, within 72 hours.
