DINGS crossed for seven unanswered tries against National League Two North opponents Stourbridge at a packed Shaftesbury Park. The home coaching team would have been delighted with they way Crusaders' defended throughout to keep a clean sheet, but equally impressed with their attack.
Fly-half Ben Bolster opened the scoring on 13-minutes with a try he also converted. New signing Brad Doggett dotted down in the corner soon. Bolster added the extras from the touchline to double the lead before wing Sam Polledri intercepted to race clear for an unconverted try to make it 19-0 at the turnaround.
The home side continued where they left off in the second-half with centre Matt Smith dotting down in the corner. Bolster hit the conversion to make it 26-0 before centre Marcus Brooker went over for two tries within five-minutes of each other. Skipper Steve Plummer landed both conversions as well as adding the extras to Dings' seventh try - scored by hooker Joe Hawkesby - from wide out to make it 47-0 shortly before the full-time whistle sounded.
