Dorking (East Surrey) HardRiders TT

Sunday 25th April saw the 57th running of the East Sure HardRiders Time Trial Competition. It was great to be able to run this event, held under the current Covid-19 protocols, and for riders to be back competing again after the curtailed 2020 season.

The event, which was oversubscribed, saw 97 riders start on the day in dry but windy conditions on a course truncated to 40km by roadworks near Horsham. Despite the headwind in the last part of the course some impressive times were set. Zeb Kyffin of Ribble Weldtite Pro Cycling took the overall Mens TT bike win in 51min 12sec, an average of 46.7km/hr. Flora Perkins of VC Londres took the Women's TT win in 59:56. In the Road Bike category, Tom Springbett of Foran CC won the Mens 1st prizein 55:00, whilst Heather Mayer of Team Watto was 1st in the Women's competition in 01:05:03
