and won!

In bitter conditions the boys played Beaconsfield's A team. A finely balanced game until a slicing run over half the length of the (sodden) pitch was planted over the line by, full-back, TJ. A dogged defence of the lead was then maintained despite ferocious attempts by Beaconsfield to cancel the lead.

Whether it was the conditions, their mood or the occasion of a Derby, the boys defied the expectations of the coaches - normally quite reticent players enabled the whole team to perform magnificently. Well done.

Following the second game between Beaconsfield and the hosts play was then abandoned due to the conditions. Thanks to High Wycombe U12s for your warm hospitality, as ever.

Next up (Sun 7th) is the Slough RFC Tournament, then Mothers Day training to be followed by the combined U11s & U12s tour to Leicester.
