Drifters to take on team from the Game Changers project at London Scottish RFC on Saturday

Drifters Under 14s will be playing in front of the Sky Sports cameras on Saturday morning!

They are taking on a group of kids being coached by Drifters Head Coach Dan Gillespie as part of the Game Changers project that he is working on. The kids come from a variety of different backgrounds and the initiative is aimed at teaching them life skills through the power of rugby.

The game will be played at London Scottish RFC in Richmond at 10am. It will be split into three periods of 20 minutes. Sky Sports will then be showing clips of the game as part of their Game Changers programme, which airs at weekends.

Check out Dan talking to Sky Sports about the life-changing scheme...

Game Changers uses rugby to turn around negative attitudes and disruptive behaviour. The students learn how to deal with their personal challenge in an environment where they feel involved and appreciated. The programme has been designed and will be delivered by Activate Sports, specialists in sports education and community programmes.
