We the board are aware that several coaches and players have indicated a desire to return to tailored outdoor activity. It is paramount that we as a club ensure the safety of players, coaches, and volunteers. It is understandable that you may be apprehensive about your child returning to participate in outdoor activity. The purpose of this letter is to outline safeguarding measures that have been put in place, to ensure your child’s safety.
Outdoor activity will consist of small groups of 6, one of which is the coach, or a volunteer who will deliver the session as instructed by the head coach.
Parental responsibility:
• Players will be required to arrive at the session on time, at a designated drop off point (Station Road) and collected at the end of the session (Hodgson Lane).
• Provision of hand sanitiser and Water bottle. Sharing of water bottles and other personal equipment is prohibited.
• It is an expectation that parents will remain at the session and will provide basic first aid, if required.
• Parents will be expected to observe social distancing guidelines and keep at least 2 metres distance from other parents.
• Players can not attend the session if they have a high temperature, a new continuous cough, loss or change to sense of smell or taste.
Coaches responsibility:
• Regular and thorough cleaning of equipment prior to and after use with disinfectant or anti-bacterial wipes.
• The coach will keep a register of all players who attend the session. Will brief the players at the start of the session of safety measures that must be complied with to ensure social distancing is maintained.
• Will pre plan activities to ensure Social distancing will be maintained, no contact will be permitted throughout the session.
• Any Emergency First Aid given by qualified staff will be done safely, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
The board would like to make it clear participation is voluntary. The decision to take part is wholly your decision as a parent. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact either your head coach or myself. The board have approved outdoor activity for our teams, sessions can begin week from Monday 29th June.
Yours sincerely
