Dronfield Under 14 Traveled to Sleaford for their semi final against Kesteven, on a ideal day for running rugby.

It was Dronfield who scored first, when wing Max Hancock made a powerful break and scored under the post, which was converted by Oli Yapp. Kersteven powerful forwards made several storming runs but where held out by some great tackling. Dronfield scored again after a flowing move. A super miss pass by Charlie Beynon, cut out the Kesteven centres and allowed centre James Smith to score out wide which was again converted by Oli Yapp.

Kesteven again came back hard and where held up over the line several times by great defending. Just before half time Dronfield lost their captain Will Backhouse to a head injury, also key players Will Fidler & Oli Yapp.

The second half was a much tighter affair, with both side giving their all. Dronfield held out several attacks, Eventually with 3 minutes to go Kesteven scored a converted try.

The last 2 minutes was a tense affair for everybody, but Dronfield came out on top. The whole 22 man squad contributed to this win.

Dronfield's man of the match was Billy Wyton.
