The Under 18s gained swift revenge over Meridian VP at Rutland Walk in their North Division encounter on Sunday morning. Having been beaten away by Meridian VP in a seven-goal thriller just a week earlier, the boot was on the other foot as the Dulwich Hamlet youngsters edged a nail-biting 3-2. Mohammed Kamara bagged two of the goals with Henry Awokere also chipping in as Dulwich Hamlet moved back to the top of the table. Currently they lead Bromley A by a point but with the young Ravens having played four games fewer the advantage in the title race remains with the Kent side. Dulwich’s next game in the Kent Youth League is away to Phoenix Sports this Sunday morning, kicking off at 10.30 am.
Meanwhile the Under 16s continued their unbeaten run though they had to be content with a point after sharing six goals with fellow title challengers, Greenwich Borough. Ronnie Payne grabbed a hat trick for the hosts but Hamlet responded with a Splatt trick of their own, brothers Jamie and Javaun (2) getting the Dulwich goals. The Hamlet remain at the top of the table but face a tough challenge this Sunday when they welcome second place Erith and Belvedere to Rutland Walk. That game has a scheduled 2.00 pm kick-off time.
