Dulwich made it nine league games without a win as Bath City deservedly took all the points from Champion Hill.

For all the team's FA Cup exploits, the league form is looking very worrying as it's now 9 games without a win and, since the heady days of winning the first three games back in August, just one league win in 12. It's also no home league wins since the first week of the season.

The Hamlet can have little complaint about their defeat to a Bath City side that looked much more cohesive and exploited the worrying lack of defensive resilience in the Dulwich midfield.

Dulwich opened the match brightly and Ben Chapman stung the palms of Wiles-Richards with an early effort, whilst the Bath keeper also had to be alert to touch an effort from Ade Yusuff wide just two minutes later.

However, from the resulting corner the visitors should have taken the lead as, for the first time of many, they were able to expose the Dulwich defence with a quick break, but Smith had strayed offside and the chance was missed.

The match was fairly even, although the visitors passing was crisper and the worrying lack of bite in the Dulwich midfield was already evident.

However, Dulwich did have a good chance to take the lead in the 24th minute when a Dominic Vose free kick caused uncertainty but nobody could get a clean connection. The ball looped up to Quade Taylor but his header was cleared off the line.

As with the earlier break out from a corner, the same occurred from this one and again the visitors wasted their opportunity. With Grainger stranded on the edge of the penalty, area, Mann shot low and weakly, when any lofted effort would likely have lead to a goal.

Aaron Barnes had to clear a 28th minute effort off the line whilst Grainger made a good save low to his left. However, the visitors finally grabbed the lead in the 30th minute. Dulwich failed to clear their lines as Dominic Vose seemed unsure whether to use his head or his feet, in the end he did neither and Chilvers swept the ball into the goal.

The Hamlet now looked unsure but they survived and as half time approached Ade Yusuff had two efforts along with another from Ben Chapman.

Half Time 0-1

At the start of the second half Smith should perhaps have done better than to shoot too high when he robbed Ben Chapman. However, after that let off, Dulwich were level within a minute.

A long ball forward was flicked on by Danny Mills and Ade Yusuff raced clear to calmly slot past Wiles-Richards and bring the scores level. and for a while Dulwich looked like they could build on the goal.

However, the earlier warnings of Bath's ability to break quickly went unheeded and the visitors restored their lead in the 53rd minute. A poor touch from Quade Taylor saw him desperately try to win the ball back on half way when he should perhaps have retreated. He went to ground and suddenly the Dulwich defence was exposed. This time Pearson timed his run well and he comfortably beat the exposed Grainger.

Charlie Grainger was forced to make a good save from Pearson in the 57th minute before there was a lull in the end to end play.

As the game entered the final twenty minutes, Dulwich came on strongly again but Ade Yusuff saw an low effort easily saved before the same player thought he should have had a penalty for a trip when he tried to cut in from the right.

However, Bath nearly put the result beyond doubt with nine minutes remaining when Mann's effort flicked off a defender and the top of the bar, before Dulwich wasted a chance to level as Jack Connors corner was missed by everybody.

With the additional four minutes just indicated Bath did settle the game as weak defending allowed a low cross to find the unmarked Smith at the far post and he had the simple task of tapping home from a yard out.
