The Hamlet had to settle for a point as 2906 braved torrential rain to attend on Non-League Day at Champion Hill.

For the Dulwich team visit here.

Dulwich were once again forced into changes as David Ijaha was not fit enough to start whilst Richard Orlu and Jeffrey Monakana were missing through injury. This led to a change in formation, with Aaron Barnes restored and Nyren Clunis on the bench.

An end to end game opened with Ainsworth claiming a penalty for the visitors when he and Dominic Vose came together in the penalty area, but the referee was unmoved. The first Dulwich chance came a minute later, in the 4th minute, as a cross from Ben Chapman was met with a downwards header by Danny Mills, but Ward plunged to his right to save.

Connor Hunte had a 10th minute effort that sailed over the bar, with Weymouth then putting together a flowing move from inside their own half that was only halted by a well timed tackle by Jack Connors. Ainsworth had a low effort that was comfortably saved by Charlie Grainger before Dulwich took a 21st minute lead.

Some poor defending by the visitors saw Ward race from his line to thwart Ade Yusuff, but his save saw the ball fall to Connor Hunte some 20 yards out and he took his time before curling an effort past the two covering defenders and into the goal. This put Dulwwich on the ffront foot, although they were unable to create many openings against a strong defence. However, the home side had a good chance in the 31st minute when Dom Vose threaded a pass to Jack Connors. From a tight angle, he decided to shoot and Ward was able to push his effort out, although with hindsight he may have selected to pull the ball back into the six yard box.

As Dulwich looked comfortable, Weymouth's 40th minute equaliser came as something of a shock. A free kick was lofted into the penalty area and headed clear to the left angle of the penalty area, where Ainsworth struck an unstoppable volley the flashed past Grainger into the far corner.

This setback for The Hamlet saw the visitors take control of the period before the break, but both sides went in level at the break.

Half Time 1-1

It seems that Dulwich are very susceptible to conceding goals straight after the break, and it happened again just 3 minutes into the second half. A ball was threaded through the defence for Thomson, who the Dulwwich defence felt was offside, and he was brought down by a challenge from Grainger. Odubade comfortably converted the penalty.

Dulwich came storming back and Ade Yusuff should have equalised in the 54th minute. Aaron Barnes delivered a cross to the far post that Yusuff headed over when he should have hit the target. Ward then saved from Connor Hunte before Dulwich leveled in the 56th minute. A clearance fell to Dominic Vose whose teasing cross was volleyed past Ward by Christian Smith.

The Hamlet would have gone in front just three minutes later but for a great save by Ward. A flowing move down the right involving Hunt and Barnes saw a cross arrive at the onrushing Vose and his controlled volley was brilliantly saved by Ward low to his left.

As the game flowed from end to end, Vose gave the ball away deep in the Weymouth half and, with players streaming forward, Dulwich were outnumbered at the back, but a poor final effort was a let off for the home side. For The Hamlet, Ade Yusuff beat his man on the outside, but nobody could get into the penalty area to turn it in.

However, Dulwich were then indebted to a brilliant save by Charlie Grainger with 12 minutes remaining; the Dulwich keeper flying to his left to push away a goalbound header. However, Dulwich went closest to grabbing a winner with six minutes remaining when an Aaron Barnes cross was met by Jack Connors but his volley flashed just wide.

Final Score 2-2
