Four trialists join up to Hakan's squad

Dwight Pascal

Ahead of our London Senior Cup trip to Erith Town, manager Hakan Hayrettin has added some more players to his squad.

Joining the club are defender Dwight Pascal and midfielders Adam Dougui, Hussein Siklawi and Sean Bonnett-Johnson. All four appeared in our friendly at Hendon at the weekend.

The most beady-eyed of Hamlet fans may well recognise Dwight, with the 22-year-old playing in six of our pre-season fixtures this summer. Dwight can play at both right-back and at centre-back, and has good experience at Step 3, having spent last season with Kingstonian, making 32 league appearances in the Isthmian League Premier Division, and 37 games in the same division for Potters Bar Town the previous year.

Dwight is also the youngest player to appear for Barnet, having made his senior debut for the Bees at 15 in the EFL Trophy, and also played in League Two for them. He left for Potters Bar in 2019, making a total of 58 appearances for them, with a brief return to Barnet sandwiched in the middle.

Hamlet fans may also recognise Hussein, with the midfielder scoring a stunning free-kick for our local rivals Tooting & Mitcham United against us in pre-season. Hussein played six times for the Terrors this season, having rejoined them during the summer, and can operate in the centre of midfield or just behind the strikers.

Hussein, 24, came through the academy at Tooting, making his debut for them in 2017.

Adam is a 19-year-old, who came through the QPR youth system in recent years, before being released in July. He is a winger, capable of playing on the left or right, and was a teammate of Deon Woodman in the QPR U21s last season.

Adam has also been capped by Algeria at U18 and U20 level, scoring once for the U20s.

Finally, Hak has brought in an experienced midfielder in the form of Sean Bonnett-Johnson. The 33-year-old has plenty of non-league games under his belt, appearing for the likes of Kettering, Billericay Town, Kingstonian, Merstham, Hendon, Potters Bar Town, Braintree Town, East Thurrock United, Romford and FC Romania.

After a second spell with Kingstonian came to an end in the summer, Sean joined fellow Isthmian League Premier Division side Concord Rangers, making three appearances, before departing after their FA Cup loss at Wroxham at the start of September.

A warm welcome to all four players!
