Dulwich Hamlet mounted an impressive comeback to stay top of the League

Dulwich Hamlet came from 3-2 down to complete a late 4-3 victory over London rivals Fulham.

Playing to a crowd of over 450 at Fulham’s Motspur Park ground, Dulwich took an early 2-0 lead with goals from Liz Wicks and Ella Wales Bonner. However, Fulham got themselves back to the game and by midway into the second half were 3-2 up.

A left-footed volley from Rosie Stone levelled the score in the 69th minute, before Ana de Pelegrin’s strike three minutes later gave Dulwich a 4-3 lead and meant they return to Champion Hill with all three points.

The result means that Dulwich Hamlet stay top of the London & South East Regional Women's League. QPR, below us in second place but with three games in hand, are our next opponents in the League and we host them at Champion Hill on Sunday 8th December.

Next up for the Women’s team are Leyton Orient on Wednesday night at the Mile End Stadium, kick off 7:45pm, in the Second Round of the Combined Counties Cup.
