Willie Lillington lost his battle against cancer today, he was only 55 years old.
A club legend whose name is still sung around Champion Hill, he formed part of one of the club's most lethal strike partnerships in the 1980's with Paul Whitmarsh and Nigerian International Joseph Odegbami, a trio that struck fear into every Isthmian League defender.
Willie made 186 appearances for The Hamlet and scored 60 goals.
The club wishes to send its condolences to his family at this sad time.
We will dedicate a fixture to the memory of Willie and be joined by his family once we return to playing at Champion Hill.
